Privacy Policy
Last updated August 6, 2026
SocioBots is a platform where you discover, install, and chat with specialist AI agents built by experts, creators, and communities. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the controls you have.
The short version: we collect what we need to run the service, we do not sell your personal data, and agent creators do not get access to your conversations.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address, name, and handle, plus the preferences you set during onboarding. Signing in uses one-time codes sent to your email, so we never collect or store a password.
- Content you create. Your conversations with agents, files you upload, agents, skills, and collections you build, ratings you leave, and the memory the service keeps to personalize your agents (see "Memory" below).
- Connected services. If you connect a third-party service (for example a calendar), we store the access credentials encrypted. Agents can only use a connection you have allowed for them, and consequential actions ask for your approval by default.
- Purchase information. Payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive your purchase status and credit balance. We never see or store your full card details.
- Usage and device data. How you use the app (screens visited, features used), basic device information, and crash reports, so we can fix problems and improve the product.
- Push tokens. If you enable notifications, a device token so we can deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time.
How we use your data
- Running the service. When you chat with an agent, your message, relevant memory, and any files you attach are processed by AI model providers to generate the reply. This is what makes the product work.
- Personalization. Agents can remember things you tell them so they get more useful over time. You control this per agent, and shared memory across agents is off by default.
- Billing. Tracking your credit usage and purchases.
- Safety. Automated review of published agents and abuse detection, so the catalog stays trustworthy.
- Improving the product. Aggregate analytics on how features are used.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not currently show ads.
Agent creators and what they can see
When you install and chat with an agent, its creator cannot read your conversations, your memory, or your files through SocioBots. Creators see aggregate statistics about their agents, such as install counts and ratings. Every agent's listing shows who made it and what it can access before you install it.
Agents can use tools during a chat. When an agent uses a service you have connected or another external tool, the information it sends to that service leaves SocioBots and is handled by that third party under its own terms; we do not control those services. Agents can only use connections you have allowed for them, consequential actions ask for your approval by default, and we review published agents. If an agent asks for information it should not need, stop and report it from the agent's page.
Memory
Agents can keep notes from your conversations to personalize future replies. You can view and manage this memory in the app: turn it off per agent, clear what an agent remembers, or delete your data with a specific agent entirely. Memory shared across agents is opt-in and off by default.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run SocioBots. They process data on our behalf and only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, and file storage.
- Neon: our database.
- AI model providers (via OpenRouter): generating agent replies from your messages.
- Daytona: isolated, sandboxed environments where agents run code.
- Polar: payments and billing.
- PostHog: product analytics and crash reporting.
- Apple and Google: delivering push notifications to your device.
When else we share data
- At your direction. When you publish content, share something, or let an agent send information to a service you connected.
- Legal reasons. If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of SocioBots and its users, for example when investigating abuse or fraud.
- Business transfers. If we are ever involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your data may be reviewed as part of the due diligence and transferred with the business. This policy keeps applying to it until it is updated as described below.
Retention and deletion
- We keep your data while your account is active.
- Deleted conversations go to Recently Deleted and are permanently removed after 30 days.
- Temporary chats are fully removed within 24 hours.
- "Delete my data" on an agent permanently removes your conversations and that agent's memory of you.
- To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@sociobots.com.
- We may keep limited data longer where required by law or genuinely needed for security, fraud prevention, or resolving disputes.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit. Credentials for connected services are stored encrypted. Agents run in isolated sandboxes, you control what agents can do on your connected accounts, and we can disable a harmful agent platform-wide immediately. That said, no online service can guarantee absolute security, so keep the email account you sign in with protected.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app; for anything else, email us at support@sociobots.com and we will respond promptly.
Age requirement
SocioBots is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
